Perplexity Projects for Research You Can Check
Perplexity gives answers with links you can open. Projects, which replaced Spaces, keep the files, links and instructions for one research topic together.
When I research a market or a competitor, I want to see where every claim came from. That is why Perplexity sits in my research step.
Step 1
Create a Project for One Topic
In the left sidebar, open Projects and select New project. Name it after one question you keep returning to, like a market or a board topic.
Step 2
Add Instructions
Project instructions apply to every query in that Project.
I am researching [TOPIC] for [PURPOSE]. Prefer primary sources: company filings, government data, official pages. Show the date of every source. Separate facts from opinions. End each answer with what is still unknown.
Step 3
Add Files and Trusted Links
Upload your own documents and add the sites you trust most. Files added from a connected app are copies, so add them again when they change.
Step 4
Open Three Sources Every Time
Before you use an answer, open the three sources that carry the main claim. If a source does not say what the answer says, drop the claim.
