AI Weekly Report Template for Your Leadership Team
A good AI weekly report tells you what changed, why it matters and what needs a decision. This template turns your numbers into a one page Monday brief.
Most weekly reports are a table nobody reads. The numbers are there. The story is missing.
AI is good at the story part, as long as the numbers come from your systems and a person checks the conclusions.
Step 1
Pick Five to Eight Numbers
Choose the measures your leadership team actually discusses. Sales, pipeline, cash, delivery, customer issues. More numbers make a worse report.
Step 2
Get the Data in One Place
Export to one spreadsheet each week, or connect your sheet to AI. Same columns every time.
Step 3
Run the Report Template
You write our Monday leadership brief. Here is this week's data with last week and the same week last year: [PASTE OR ATTACH] FORMAT HEADLINE: one sentence on the week WHAT MOVED: the three biggest changes, with numbers and the likely reason from the notes provided WATCH: anything trending the wrong way for two weeks or more DECISIONS NEEDED: questions for the leadership team GOOD NEWS: one win worth sharing Rules: use only the data and notes given. If the reason for a change is not in the notes, write REASON UNKNOWN. One page.
Step 4
Add Context From the Team
Ask each lead for one line of context on Friday. Paste it in with the data. That is where the reasons come from.
Step 5
Automate the Monday Run
Once the format works, schedule it with a tool like Zapier, Make or a scheduled task in your AI tool, so a draft is waiting Monday morning for a person to check.
