Checking competitors usually happens once a year in a strategy deck. This AI competitor analysis template checks public sources every week and tells you what changed.

Most leaders know their top three competitors. Few know what those competitors changed last month.

An AI watch on public sources fixes that. Pricing pages, service pages, job posts, news and announcements.

Step 1

Pick Your Watch List

Choose three to five competitors and the public pages that matter. Pricing, services, careers, news or blog, and their LinkedIn page.

Step 2

Run a Baseline Analysis

Prompt to paste
Using web search, build a baseline on these competitors: [NAMES AND URLS]
For each: what they sell, who they target, how they price if public, recent news and what their job posts suggest about their plans.
Cite a link for every point. Mark anything you could not confirm.

Step 3

Set the Weekly Check

Weekly prompt to paste
Check these competitor pages and news for changes since [LAST DATE]: [LIST]
Report only what changed, with links.
For each change: what it is, why it might matter to us and whether we should act, watch or ignore.
If nothing changed, say so in one line.

Step 4

Schedule It

Use a scheduled task in your AI tool, or an automation tool, to run the weekly prompt and send the brief to you. Read it with coffee Monday.
